Another Friday

My weeks tend to follow the exact same routine.
Sunday is Church, lunch and knitting, sometimes baking if I'm feeling up to it.  I get to talk with my Dad on Sunday's, and hopefully will get to start skyping with David.

Monday thru Thursday I go to work, go to the store once or twice, and then come home.  Once home I knit, I browse the internet, mostly Ravelry and Facebook, then wait for Steve to come home.
Rinse, and repeat.

Then comes Friday. :-) It's my favorite day of the week, even if I have to get up WAY earlier than I usually do.  Eleanor comes over at 7am, and we just sit and chat and play.  Then Robin comes around 7:50, and it's more playtime.  Steve makes them ham and cheese omelets and we just hang out till lunchtime.   Yesterday it was sunny and warm so we went for a nice long walk out front and then around the pond in the back.   This is the first time this year I've been out back; boy have the alders grown up high!
Yesterday's activity was good for me, but it took more out of me than I thought it would.  I so wish I could figure out why.  It is the most frustrating thing in my life.

We brought out the duplo blocks I bought for the girls a long time ago.  They loved them. :-)

And we're off!

Someone wants Grandpa

I really enjoy the path around the pond.  Well, except for the bugs.

Eleanor's always go, go, go.

kid sized seats were everywhere.

Eleanor and I went outside for another walk while Robin was sleeping.. she found this puddle in a neighbors yard.  It was so much fun to watch her.  She was soaked from top to bottom by the time we left. :-)
Waiting for Grandpa to bring her some strawberries.

Steve and I have decided that we are not going out to Echo Ranch this year.  It was such a tough decision, as I love it so.  But he really feels like it is the right thing for my health at this time.  And just to confirm his decision, we just found out that he requested the wrong weekend off from work.  So even if we wanted to go, we can't.  God knew that I would give in at the last minute and go, no matter how I would feel after.  So, I will be home that weekend and Steve will be working.
I'm going to ask Darla, Hannah and Ashleigh to take LOTS of pictures for me.

Well that's about all for me this week.

Sunday, August 26, 2012

It's a lovely late Sunday evening.  Today the sun came back, it was 65 degrees and wonderful.  Yesterday I was sure fall had arrived.. maybe we are getting a bit more summer?

August has been an emotional month.  Steve's Mom went to be with the Lord on Sunday the 12th.  Even though we know she is happy and with the Lord, it is still hard.  Just today I was telling Steve to remember his phone so he could call her tonight.
August is also the month my Mama went home to be with the Lord, and it's Dale's birthday.  I have been missing them both so much.    But the Lord is good.  He is faithful.  He is loving.
He is comfort.

Friday is my favorite day of the week. I get to spend all day with Steve, Robin and Eleanor.  We have fun, we have snuggles, we have Grampa's ham and cheese omelets (well, they do ) :-) I have my camera always at the ready, and Eleanor has learned to love it.  As soon as I pull it out she runs to me and smiles. And squints. ha.  A girl after my heart.

I still don't know what to do about Echo Ranch.  I really want to go.  My back really doesn't want to go.  I have one more week to decide... So until then, here are some pictures from the past 2 weeks.

Eleanor wants to wear this hairband everyday.  I think it is adorable.  duh.

They sit at the table Steve built every time they are here. :-)

debating on keeping this blog

Well, it's been 3 months again since I last posted..  I'm debating on whether or not I should keep this blog.   I tend to just go and post pictures on Facebook, and not talk much about what's going on.  I know.  If I post here once a week on Saturday's till November I will keep it.  :-)

Life has been so very interesting the past 3 months.  My David came home from college.. and he seems so grown up, and he has been working so very hard on his weight and health.  He looks AMAZING.  I am so proud of him. :-)

He had his 23rd birthday in July, and Jacob had his 31st.  Wow.  My girls are getting so big, they are communicating more and are just wonderful and my joy.

My health is still going downhill, and we still don't know what's wrong.  My annoyingly fragile back continues to plague me, and it prevents me from doing so much.  Steve has said he doesn't want me to go to Echo Ranch this year.  This upsets me so very much.  I have been going ever since we moved here.  At this point we're praying about it.

My David moved to Seattle last Thursday; this hurt me far more than I expected.  I kept putting it out of my mind all through the summer, then the night before he left I just cried and cried.  I thought I had it all together and would not fall apart at the airport.  Wrong.  When he hugged me good bye, I broke.  Speaking was so difficult and I spent the entire day crying off and on.  I know he's going to be happy, and that he is doing what The Lord wants him to do.  But boy.. I miss him. Even when I didn't spend much time with him, it's just the knowing that he was here, and I could see and talk to him anytime I wanted.  David, you had better call and text me often!

Summer has been wet. Very wet.  Record breaking wet.  :-)  We've had a few sunny days,   and I'm hopeful that fall won't be horrible.  Wishful thinking?

I've been knitting off and on, my yarn stash is entirely too big.  Steve is going to build me a wall of diagonal shelves in David's room.. we're going to paint it turquoise and it's going to be awesome.

Now if we could get Tim and Katie to move here.. that would be fabulous.  Then Pop and Shelly and John, and Bill and Donna.. I could go on and on.
