It's midnight, and will soon be Thanksgiving for most people. We had ours tonight. It was so much fun. I baked 8 pies yesterday, and then got up and made a lemon meringue pie this morning. Dad and I were talking about the Thanksgiving dinners we had when Mom was alive, and I had to make her lemon pie. First one I've had in over 10 years. We ended up having 24 people over for dinner. We put my new big 9 foot table and our old one in the den, and Steve built some quickie benches. It was wonderful. I love having so many people over sharing food and laughter. Now however, I am really tired. Crazy I've eaten tons of dairy laden foods and have been cooking for two days tired. But happy. Really content and thankful to have so many wonderful friends and family. I miss my boy Tim and Katie though.
Anyway, a few pictures from tonight. I was going to make everyone get together for group pics, but seriously. Too many people and crazy tired. :-)))

Pop and birthdays
Hey Adam, this update is for you. :-))
What have I been up to? I've been knitting. I finished David's Harry Potter scarf, and Miriah's mittens. I started a pair of fingerless mittens for me, a scarf for Erik, and ripped out one I was working on for Kelly. I just don't like it, so wasn't working on it... I don't like the one I was making for Miriah either. With as much yarn as I have, I can be picky.
My mac went on the fritz again, so Mick fixed it for me. YAY MICK! And I even have wireless internet again. It's such a pleasure.
Kelly and I went to see New Moon on Thursday, it was a blast. We waited in line for quite awhile in the cold; Kelly was first in line.
Erik James Peterson, my terrific middle child turned 23 on Nov. 21st. We had a big group come over and I made the enchilada dinner and a cheesecake... I made the one Dale always got for his birthday. I'm glad to start making it again. On Sunday, we had another big group come over and I made a big breakfast buffet. Again, fun.
My Dad is here visiting, and we just celebrated his birthday today. I made him a carrot cake and then we went to the Hangar for dinner. In between the carrot cake and the Hangar, I made 8 pies. That's a lot of pies! We're having about 20 people for Thanksgiving dinner; we are having it tomorrow night since Erik and Steve have to work on Thursday.
OH! I forgot.. my table is done and in the house. :-) It is so beautiful.. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow.
Here are all the pictures:
I made everyone come outside on Sunday after our breakfast buffet. I had to have Pop in the snow. I love this picture. :-)
Tonight at the Hangar.

gifts
Today was a day of gifts.
I received the gift of wonderful worship and teaching at Church. I received a fabulous red Texas dish from Sherrie, The mentalist and a funny card from David, 2 gorgeous framed photographs from Jacob, a just perfect for me original print from Latecia. Phone calls from Gramma Peterson, Tim, Shelly and my Dad. I miss you all! I got to listen to Erik and David play guitars and sing worship songs.. and I tried to sneakily video them. :-)) The gift of laughter and fun from Miriah and Latecia who came over tonight. Texting with Kelly, and spending some chill time with Steve tonight.
My favorite gift came from the Lord today at church. It was an answer to a prayer, with a lesson attatched to it. I had been unable to find the sermon cd recorded last week at church, and had been praying and searching for it all week. And asking everyone if they had seen it. I was feeling so upset about it, it was a great sermon and lots of people wanted a copy of it. Well, this morning I asked God one more time, if He could please show it to me. I looked in my car again, not there. I go in to church, put the bulletins on the table. Sit down, and get my stuff out of the black bag. Put my Bible on my chair. I then get this flicker in my my mind.. why don't you look in your Bible. I think, oh my, I know it's here. Sure enough, it's in the back of my Bible behind last weeks bulletin. Now where is the lesson? God gently tells me, if you had read your Bible this week, you would have found it sooner. Ouch.. don't be so busy and distracted that you don't spend real time with me. So, an answer to my prayer, and a lesson. A wonderful birthday gift from my Lord who loves me, who talks to me, and who never gives up on me.

where did October go?
Well, I have not been blogging. Last time I posted was about family camp.
Fall came and went.. now we are getting ready for winter. I ran out the door this morning to go to a new Chiropractor, ( awesome lady by the way!) and found ice all over my car. My sweet Steve started removing it with his HANDS, so I told him to stop. Such a nice man. He then used a scraper which was in my car. I was late.
Oh well. Now I will remember to start my car a little before I need to leave. Steve wants me to get an auto start for my car, but they are so expensive! Just think how much yarn I could buy with all that money!!
Speaking of yarn, I finally finished David's Harry Potter scarf. It is over 8 1/2 feet long. I love it, he loves it. Life is good. I finished one of Miriah's mittens, and will do the other one today. Then what? hmmm.. I have a scarf for Kelly to do, one for Erik, Jacob, Katie, and mittens for me. And a shawl. I could knit all day, every day. And I have enough yarn to do it. :-))
It's birthday season here, Katie had one in October-- LOVE YOU KATIE-- and now it's November. So many!
Oh, the table Steve is building me will be done by Thanksgiving, and then I have 2 other projects for him. I'm sure I could think of more, but this will do me for awhile. Haha. I will of course post pictures as soon as it is done.
That's enough for now, I will put a picture of David and the scarf later.
God is good.

Calvary Family Camp
I love September.
The trees start changing colors, the air is nice and cool. And yes, it rains. I surprised myself last week when it was really quite dreary outside. I was driving to family camp and passed a spot where Steve and I stop on a regular basis to take pictures. There was a car in our spot, and I thought, why would he be there right now on such a day? Looking at the view, I thought, wow. It is so beautiful with all the different shades of gray. I must really be a Juneau girl if I think that the dreary, cloudy, rainy day could be beautiful. :-) And it was.
I also love September because it is the month I got married in. Today I got a card from my Dad, and I thought, why would he be sending me a card?? I opened it, and said oh my goodness, I forgot it was our anniversary on Wednesday. Steve was so funny, he had forgotten too and said, did we miss it???? haha. Only being so busy at Family Camp could make me forget. Steve, well, he would have forgotten anyway. :-) Happy 9 years to us on the 16th.
Family Camp. I have been to 8 of them at Echo Ranch. This year we had it at the Methodist Camp instead. It is always such a fun time of fellowship and getting closer to God and each other. This year was no exception. It rained as usual, but the sun was out as we unloaded on Friday and loaded back up on Sunday. The teaching was good, the food was great, there was laughter, tears, goodbyes and lots of love. Just what family camp should be. Well, I could have done without the goodbyes, but God sends people where He sends them.
Here is a sampling.. as usual, I took lots. But I think that Bryan Hosh took more. :-)
For some reason my bread turned out better than ever at camp. It makes me wish I could have started a bakery. Almost. :-)
A well deserved nap.
I followed Sherrie and Felix around for a bit on Saturday.. he did so many cute things and I took way too many pictures. I loved every minute of it.
This is one of my favorite pictures. I love these two!
Bryan showed me these, they remind me of the Mario games.
