One more

So I went downstairs and saw my sweet David sitting on the couch in the den... writing. He's trying to write a book. :-) He so reminds me of Dale sometimes. All of the boys do in their own way. It's so nice to see.
I of course grabbed my camera and took this:

Then I had to get Max.

No more dairy for me!

Ok, so I've learned my lesson.. cheese and I don't get along. I've just got to stay away from pizza, no matter how much I don't want to cook, or how lousy I feel, cuz it just isn't worth it.
What I need to figure out is if my allergies are stopping me from getting my temperature up. I have days when I have an almost normal temp., then it drops back into the low 96's and 97's. I'm very discouraged with this whole thyroid thing.
Happier things:
There was a beautiful sunset tonight, see?
I of course took the picture too late, but I did see it thanks to Steve. He called me from work to tell me to go outside and look at it...thanks honey.
My 3 oscars are doing great, Emmy is really sweet, and Max is just awesome. I still have the cats, and am ready to not. Does that sound horrible?

Knitting. ah... I love knitting. I made one mitten for Miriah, it's cute, it's soft, it's too small. ugh. I'm gonna keep it though cuz I learned to pick up stitches with it, and made a thumb! I still need to remake them with a different pattern, but I kinda lost my steam. And with all this warm weather, who wants mittens?

I'll say good night with a picture of Shane and Felix at church 2 weeks ago. :-)))))

knitting, pizza and sunny days

Not much new to report here; we're all healthyish, warm and fed. I did buy 3 new fish for our downstairs aquarium, they are albino oscars and they are so cute!  They already follow me around.  It will be fun to watch them grow and grow.
I've been knitting alot; I'm still working on Tim and Chris's baby blanket, and have started 3 new scarves...one for Josh, a Harry Potter one for David, and a green one.  If I didn't spend so much time drooling over new yarns and patterns at Ravelry and eatsleepknit, I would have more actual knitting done.  :-)
We ordered pizza for dinner tonight, and my reasoning for why I could have it was that if I already feel lousy, I should have the pizza.   Remind me I CHOSE to eat dairy tomorrow when I'm feeling worse.  But hey, at least it tasted great!
Today was sunny and beautiful, and it's supposed to last for several days.  It felt springlike outside.  I want to go on a long walk.... Hannah and Sherrie told me I should go to Thane beach and Sandy Beach.  I'm gonna grab my husband on Friday after work and go.  Maybe a picnic????
That's it for now..I hope to have pictures from our walk this weekend.

He PASSED

The GED office called us this morning at 8:30.... David passed! I didn't hear the conversation, but David was told that he passed his math test with great scores. Last night he had said that he didn't think he had done that well. I can't wait to hear what all she said. :-))))

I'm back to my coffee and watching the snow fall. It's so pretty outside. Poor Steve will have to shovel our cars out though.

it's been awhile

So I haven't been in the mood to blog lately. Nothing much new has been happening to me personally and I've just been too tired.
I have however been knitting. I have made a blanket and 2 hats for Hannah's new baby, a scarf for me, a hat for Lisa and have so much more on my needles and to do list. I could knit and browse ravelry all day if I had the time!
Hannah had Felix, and he is just beautiful. It makes me so happy to see him wrapped in the blanket I made.. it makes me want to just knit more and more baby things. I wish I had known how to knit when Asher was born.. and especially when my boys were little. Although when you have little ones there isn't as much time to knit!

David took his final test for his GED today.. he'll know if he passed tomorrow. I sure hope so, he wants to get a new job and maybe start thinking about college.
I just discovered a neat Christian group on ravelry, and I now have an online Bible reading partner. :-))

Well, I will post some pictures and get to knitting. I'm making a baby blanket and hat for Tim and Christine's new junior mint.

Aren't they the cutest family????
I absolutely LOVE making baby hats. I want to make one for all the babies I know. My future grandkids better live where it's cold!
